Q: Is it safe?
A: One word sums it up - Respect. The
MO River offers a relaxing and enjoyable opportunity to enjoy nature. But you
must respect its potential power and use good judgment. You do not have to
be a seasoned paddler to enjoy the River. You just need a basic understanding
of boat handling and recognizing obstacles. We provide a thorough orientation
and make sure you feel comfortable before sending you down river.
Q: How do I set up a
float?
A: Use our Calendar to
find a scheduled float. Use our Sign-up
form to register. If you have questions, you can fill out a Sign-Up form with your questions,
send us an e-mail at randy@kcriverrun.com,
or call us at (816) 226-6379. Due to our daytime availability, we may not be
able to answer right away. Please leave a message and we'll be sure to get back
with you.
Q: How can I pay?
A: Cash, check, credit card, or online. Checks payable to River Run Rentals. Small processing
fee added to credit card and online transactions.
Q: Is the float guided?
A: Floats are only guided if a guide is requested. There is an
additional $25 fee for a guide to accompany your group.
Q: What is the minimum age required?
A: 13 years and must be accompanied by an adult.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Water bottle, sun protection, and camera. We provide paddles, pdfs (personal floatation devices), and transportation. We
recommend wearing comfortable shoes. Sandals or tennis shoes are ok.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Yes! It is recommended that dogs only be placed in canoes. Some small
dogs will fit in our kayaks. You know your dog better than anyone, so use your
own discretion. Life preservers for dogs are recommended and not provided.
River Run Rentals is not responsible for incidents.
Q: Can you tell me more
about Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boards?
A: SUP boards are becoming more and more popular and provide both a great
workout and awesome experience on the water. You can float the Missouri River
but there's a required training lesson prior so you can have the most enjoyable
time possible. Email us for more details.
